AFRO KIDS PROGRAM HOME PAGE

KARIBU! TO THE AFROKIDS WEBSITE

AFROKIDS WEBSITE IS AN ONLINE FORUM CREATED TO HIGHLIGHT THE MANY  CHALLENGES FACED BY THE AFRICAN CHILD AND TO DISCUSS SOLUTIONS TO THESE CHALLENGES

Each page on this web page will focus on a particular child rights issue with the aim of provoking useful debate even among those that may not think they have the political power to improve child welfare. Whereas it remains true that most people do not wield political power, it is also a fact that every person on earth has the personal power to help improve the welfare of the world's children. Each African person has the personal power to influence how well the African child lives and each Zambian person has that same personal power. Political power is given to groups of individuals that are charged with running the affairs of human society. Personal power is the power an individual possesses by birth into the human family and that gives them the right to either parent a child, to teach a child well or badly in a school, to treat a child well or recklessly at a health center and it is also the power an individual has to vote political leaders in or out of office. The AFROKIDS website is aimed at giving Child Rights information to every person that logs onto the page so that they may make good, informed choices as they each exercise their personal power wherever that may be. It is said that information is power and the information given here should further empower every reader to make better choices when they deal with the rights of children in their  communities.

The CRM is all about the Rights of Zambian and African Children. Are you interested in improving the lives of African children? It all starts with knowing their rights and the challenges to these rights. Take time to tour the site and begin to contribute to Africa's improvement by upholding the rights of it's most vulnerable citizens-the children.
